Job Description:
Halliday Marx have partnered with a rapidly growing media business to hire a Management Accountant on an interim basis for 6 months.
Responsibilities
*Ownership of the monthly management accounts process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across multiple cost centres and revenue streams
*Preparation of detailed profit & loss statements, with clear commentary on performance vs budget and prior periods
*Full responsibility for accruals, prepayments, and journals, ensuring costs and revenues are recognised correctly
*Delivery of insightful variance analysis, identifying key drivers across campaigns, projects, and client accounts
*Partnering with client services and project teams to track campaign performance, revenue recognition, and profitability
*Supporting the production of budgets and forecasts, working closely with department heads to challenge assumptions and improve accuracy
*Providing commercial insight into project margins, utilisation rates, and billable vs non-billable time
*Monitoring and analysing revenue streams, including retainer-based, project-based, and performance-driven income
*Assisting with cash flow forecasting, including tracking client payments and supplier commitments
*Working closely with the wider finance team to ensure balance sheet integrity and resolve any discrepancies
*Supporting year-end processes and audit, including preparation of schedules and responding to auditor queries
*Collaborating with non-finance teams to improve financial awareness and understanding of key metrics
Requirements
*Available to start within 1 week notice
*Minimum of 2 years experience within Management Accounts
*Confident
*Outstanding communication skills
