We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Credit Controller to support a large organisation, for a three-to-six-month period, with a key debt reduction initiative.
This is a hands-on and strategic role, combining high-value debt recovery with process improvement and team oversight.
The Role
You will take ownership of a complex and high-value debt portfolio, working across a wide range of different income streams. Alongside delivering strong cash collection performance, you will help drive improvements in credit control processes and support a Credit Controller.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage and reduce aged and high-risk debt across multiple income streams
*Lead high-volume debtor engagement (calls and written communication)
*Negotiate and manage repayment plans
*Resolve complex disputes with internal and external stakeholders
*Oversee debt collection agency activity
*Produce weekly reporting on debt and cash performance
*Line manage and support a Junior Credit Controller
*Identify and implement process improvements
About You
*Proven experience in senior credit control within a high-volume environment
*Track record of reducing debt and improving cash collection
*Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
*Experience handling complex or escalated cases
*Confident working independently and driving results
Experience within Education or public sector debt environments is highly desirable.
