Contract Personnel is recruiting for a privately owned manufacturer and developer of plastic packaging for a variety of industries, with many well-known brands, with a reputation for quality, service, and innovation.
The Role:
Working in a small team to ensure that quality and cleanliness of product are maintained to an excellent standard, while responsible for packing, labelling and recording product as necessary.
This will include:
* Documenting and recording product details.
* Always ensuring quality of product.
* Product inspection.
* Maintaining safety and hygiene standards are met.
* Ensuring operating procedures are always fully complied with
* Respond to machine alarms.
* Conduct colour changes to specific customer standards & complete accurate documentation.
* Machine and auxiliary clean downs.
* Advance to higher grades and take on respective additional responsibilities.
* Assisting with training when level reached.
* Full training will be provided
The Candidate:
For this role, you will ideally need to possess the following skills:
*Strong numeracy skills.
*Excellent timekeeping.
*Good attention to detail.
*Clear and accurate record keeping.
*Ability to uphold Health and Safety practices.
*Desire and ability to learn.
*High work ethic and team player.
*Desire to progress within the company.
Hours:
*7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
*Monday to Friday
*3-shift rotating pattern, (06:00am to 14:00pm, 22:00pm to 06:00am and 14:00pm to 22:00pm (1/2-hour unpaid break per shift)
*Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required depending on the needs of the company.
Pay:
*£12.71 per hour (Day rate) and £13.51 (Night rate).
*Rates will increase with grade progression
