Job Description:
Our client is looking for an organised and motivated Office Administrator to join their growing and fast-paced business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and can confidently support the day-to-day operations of both the transport and warehouse departments.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Logistics Manager, providing administrative and operational support across a variety of tasks.
Key Responsibilities*Booking transport jobs and scheduling deliveries
*Planning and allocating drivers and vehicles
*Booking loads in and out of the warehouse
*Processing driver timesheets
*Using telematics and tachograph analysis software
*Answering telephone and email enquiries professionally
*Pricing jobs using internal booking systems
*Ensuring monthly purchase orders are received and processed
*Carrying out general office administration duties
Skills & Experience Required*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
*Ability to work independently and use initiative
*Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
*Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
*Strong problem-solving skills
*Previous experience within transport, logistics, or warehouse administration would be advantageous
Additional InformationThis role includes participation in an on-call rota for evenings and weekends. This is currently approximately once per month , although this may change. An additional payment of £250 per month is provided for on-call duties.
