Job Description:
Learning Support Assistant
*Location: Horsham
*Job Type: Part-Time
We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a lovely primary school in Horsham. This part-time position offers regular, rewarding work and the opportunity to make a significant impact in the educational journey of young learners.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities of the Learning Support Assistant:
*Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities.
*Work with pupils one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning.
*Assist with behaviour management and ensure a positive learning environment.
*Prepare learning materials and resources as directed by the teacher.
*Support children with additional needs, providing individualised assistance.
*Help with classroom organisation, displays, and tidying.
*Supervise pupils during breaks, transitions, or off-site activities.
*Provide pastoral support to pupils and help encourage positive social skills.
*Follow safeguarding procedures and uphold school policies at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience working in a school setting is essential.
*DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
*Ability to adapt quickly within a busy, fast-paced primary environment.
*A proactive, patient, and supportive approach to working with children.
