Are you an experienced Credit Controller ready to take the next step in your career?
We’re working with a fast-paced and highly successful business within the goods/FMCG sector that is looking to appoint a motivated and ambitious Credit Control Team Leader to join their growing finance function in Warrington.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior credit professional who’s looking to move into leadership, develop management experience, and make a real impact within a dynamic environment.
The Role
Leading from the front, you’ll support the day-to-day running of the credit control function while helping drive performance, cash collection, and customer relationships across a busy and high-volume ledger.
You’ll work closely with both finance and operational teams, helping to improve processes, mentor colleagues, and ensure targets are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
*Supporting and motivating the credit control team
*Managing customer accounts and escalated queries
*Driving cash collection and reducing aged debt
*Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
*Producing reporting and analysis for senior management
*Identifying process improvements and efficiencies
*Assisting with month-end activities and KPI tracking
About You
*Proven experience within credit control
*Background within goods, distribution, wholesale, or FMCG environments
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Highly organised with the ability to manage workloads in a fast-paced setting
*Ambitious and eager to progress into a leadership role
*Confident using finance systems and Excel
