Job Description:
SEN Teacher - ARP (MLD) - September StartA well-resourced and inclusive primary school in New Addington is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to lead and teach within their Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) for pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) from September.
This is a key role within the school, offering the opportunity to take ownership of a specialist provision and make a significant impact on pupil outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible not only for delivering high-quality teaching, but also for leading the unit and managing a team of support staff.
The ARP is well-established, with clear systems and support in place, and the school has a strong commitment to inclusion and SEN provision.

The Role Will Involve:*Leading and managing the ARP for pupils with MLD
*Full teaching responsibilities including planning, assessment, and reporting
*Designing and delivering a tailored curriculum to meet a range of learning needs
*Managing and supporting a team of Teaching Assistants
*Implementing EHCP targets and tracking pupil progress
*Creating a structured, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:*Hold QTS and have significant experience teaching pupils with SEN
*Have prior experience working within an ARP or specialist setting
*Demonstrate strong leadership and team management experience
*Be confident adapting the curriculum to meet complex learning needs
*Have excellent behaviour management and communication skills
*Have a clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
This role is ideal for an experienced SEN teacher looking to step into, or continue within, a leadership position, with the opportunity to shape and develop a specialist provision.
