A well-established medium-sized engineering consultancy based in Sevenoaks is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer seeking greater project responsibility, client exposure, and long-term career progression within a supportive and collaborative environment. The consultancy works across a broad range of sectors including residential, commercial, education, retail, and industrial developments.
The Senior Structural Engineer role;You will play a key role in the delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to completion, working closely with senior leadership, clients, architects, and contractors.
Responsibilities will include:
*Leading the design and delivery of structural projects across multiple sectors
*Producing structural calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings
*Managing project programmes, budgets, and technical delivery
*Coordinating with internal and external design teams
*Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and technicians
*Undertaking site visits, inspections, and client meetings
*Ensuring compliance with UK building regulations and current design standards
*Contributing to business development and maintaining strong client relationships
Requirements of this Senior Structural Engineer role;*Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
*Chartered Engineer status preferred or working towards Chartership (ICE or IStructE)
*Strong experience designing in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
*Good working knowledge of Eurocodes and UK construction standards
*Experience delivering projects within a consultancy environment
*Proficiency in structural design software such as Tekla, Tedds, MasterSeries, or similar
*Strong communication and leadership skills
*Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
