Overview
We are looking for a driven and motivated New Business Development Executive to join our growing sales team. This is a proactive, target-driven role focused on generating new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships and driving sales growth through outbound activity, market research and consultative selling.
The successful candidate will be confident making high volumes of outbound calls, identifying opportunities and developing long-term customer relationships. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working towards targets and bring a positive, resilient and results-focused approach to sales.
Key Responsibilities
*Generate new business opportunities through outbound telesales activity, networking, market research and lead generation.
*Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
*Conduct high-volume outbound cold calling activity, with a KPI target of 80 calls per day.
*Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products and solutions.
*Prepare and follow up quotations, proposals and sales enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
*Maximise all inbound and outbound sales opportunities to achieve revenue and margin targets.
*Negotiate effectively with customers via phone, email and virtual meetings.
*Research new markets, products and industry trends to identify sales opportunities.
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records and ensure all sales activity is logged correctly.
*Produce regular activity and performance reports, including pipeline updates and conversion ratios.
*Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to support customer requirements and business growth.
*Attend meetings, networking events and potential customer site visits where required.
*Ensure compliance with company procedures, health & safety standards and quality management processes.
Key Skills & Experience
*Previous experience within telesales, business development or outbound sales.
*Strong cold calling and lead generation experience.
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
*Confident negotiating and closing sales opportunities.
*Self-motivated with a proactive and resilient approach.
*Strong organisational and administrative skills.
*Good attention to detail and accuracy.
*Ability to work towards and exceed KPI and sales targets.
*Competent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and CRM systems.
*Professional written and verbal English communication skills.
