Description
*Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
*Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes effectively.
*Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and reporting requirements.
*Reconcile accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
*Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to queries.
*Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
*Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets.
*Support the implementation of process improvements in the accounting function.
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
*A professional accounting qualification or equivalent academic background.
*Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards.
*Proficiency in financial systems and Excel for analysis and reporting.
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Experience in the transport and distribution industry is desirable but not essential.
