Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: London (Office-Based)
Type: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Salary: £35,000-£40,000
Our client, a globally recognised business operating within the entertainment and media sector, is looking to appoint a Accounts Payable Clerk to join their collaborative finance team on an initial 6-month FTC.
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with existing Purchase Ledger/AP experience looking to further develop within a fast-paced, creative and international environment.
The Role
Working closely with the wider finance function, you will support the day-to-day Accounts Payable operations across multiple entities, ensuring invoices, supplier queries and payments are managed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
*Managing and monitoring the Accounts Payable inbox
*Responding to supplier queries, payment updates and remittance requests
*Supporting new supplier set-ups and approval processes
*Processing invoices and ensuring correct coding and authorisation workflows
*Ensuring invoices are processed ahead of weekly payment runs
*Assisting with bank postings, including transfers, charges and interest
Performing supplier statement reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
*Liaising with internal departments to ensure invoices are approved in a timely manner
*Supporting wider finance teams with AP and payment-related queries
*Participating in regular Accounts Payable team meetings
About You
*Previous Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger experience essential
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively
*Basic bookkeeping / double-entry knowledge beneficial
*Comfortable working within a fast-paced team environment
*Intermediate Excel skills advantageous
