Job Description:
We are currently partnered with a global financial services organisation who are looking for an experienced Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join them on a permanent basis.


This role sits within the international payroll team and plays a key part in delivering accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll and benefits operations for the UK, while also supporting activity across several global locations. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and enjoys contributing to continuous improvement. You will support the full UK payroll and benefits lifecycle, working closely with senior payroll colleagues and partnering with HR, Finance, and external providers. You will also contribute to global payroll activity and play a key role in maintaining strong governance, data accuracy, and operational excellence.


UK Payroll
*Supporting end-to-end processing of multi-entity monthly payrolls
*Preparing and validating payroll data (new starters, leavers, statutory payments, deductions)
*Ensuring compliance with UK legislation and internal governance
*Liaising with external payroll providers and resolving queries
*Supporting year-end activities including P60s, P11Ds, PSA and HMRC submissions


Benefits Administration
*Administering UK benefits (medical, life assurance, income protection, etc.)
*Maintaining accurate benefits data and provider updates
*Supporting renewals, enrolments, and employee queries
*Managing benefits trackers and overseeing invoicing and reconciliation


Pensions
*Supporting auto-enrolment and monthly pension processing
*Maintaining accurate pension records and assisting with audits


Global Mobility & International Payroll Support
*Assisting with payroll inputs for international assignees and cross-border workers
*Supporting shadow payroll processes and working with external tax advisers


Systems & Continuous Improvement
*Supporting payroll system configuration and data maintenance
*Troubleshooting system issues and supporting testing for upgrades
*Maintaining process documentation and contributing to efficiency improvements


Essential Experience
*Strong UK payroll experience with solid understanding of legislation
*Exposure to benefits administration
*Experience with large vendors would be advantageous
*Excellent numerical accuracy and data management skills
*Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities
