£29,000 - £38,000 DOE + Overtime Available
Full-Time | Permanent | Day Shifts
An established and highly respected engineering manufacturer based in the Tonbridge area is looking to recruit an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their growing workshop team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and expanding business that specialises in bespoke stainless-steel fabrication, structural metalwork, and precision engineering projects for commercial and industrial sectors.
The RoleThis is a hands-on fabrication position where you will be involved in projects from start to finish. The company operates a "one person, one job" approach, allowing engineers to take ownership of their work throughout the manufacturing process.
Typical duties include:
*MIG and TIG welding
*Stainless steel vessel fabrication
*Sheet metal and plate work
*Stainless steel pipework fabrication
*Structural steel fabrication including:*Platforms
*Frames
*Walkways
*Staircases
*Occasional machine work
*Rare site installation work when required
Candidate RequirementsThe successful candidate will ideally have:
*Around 8 years’ hands-on fabrication and welding experience
*Strong MIG and TIG welding skills
*Experience working with stainless steel
*Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
*A proactive attitude and ability to work independently
*Willingness to undertake occasional site work
What’s on Offer*Salary between £29,000 - £38,000 depending on experience
*Overtime opportunities available
*Permanent day shift role
*25 days holiday + bank holidays

*Training provided including:*Overhead crane training
*Forklift training
*Working at heights training

Working Hours*Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 5:00pm
*Friday: 7:00am - 3:00pm
*Total: 46.5 hours per week
