Description
As Assistant Accountant, you will support the finance function across day-to-day accounting activities, month-end processes, reporting, and reconciliations. You will work closely with senior finance staff and gain exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities.
*Assisting with month-end and year-end processes
*Preparing bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
*Processing journals, accruals, and prepayments
*Supporting accounts payable and receivable activities
*Assisting with VAT returns and financial reporting
*Maintaining accurate financial records and spreadsheets
*Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
*Assisting with audits and compliance requirements
*Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and controls
Profile
*Around 2 years’ experience within a finance or accounts role
*AAT qualified or currently studying CIMA/AAT
*Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
*Confident using Excel and accounting systems
*Eager to learn and progress within an accounting career
*Positive attitude with strong communication skills
*Able to work independently and as part of a team
