Job Description:
Job Title: Senior Account Handler
Location: Altrincham/Manchester
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

Role Summary:An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Account Handler to join a growing commercial team supporting a diverse portfolio of clients, with a strong focus on the recruitment sector. This is a technically focused, client-facing position centred around delivering exceptional service, managing complex renewals and supporting specialist schemes business. You’ll work closely with Account Executives, insurers, and clients to ensure seamless account management across the full policy lifecycle within a supportive and specialist broking environment.
Key Responsibilities:*Manage an established portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring high service standards and long-term client retention
*Handle renewals, MTAs, endorsements and client queries, providing expert technical support throughout the policy lifecycle
*Support Account Executives with renewal preparation, market presentations, insurer negotiations and client documentation
*Work across commercial and professional lines including cyber, professional indemnity, liability and property risks
*Assist with delegated authority and specialist scheme business administration within the recruitment sector
*Maintain accurate records and ensure all activity aligns with FCA and internal compliance standards
Requirements:*Strong background in commercial insurance account handling
*Experience managing commercial and professional lines policies including cyber and PI
*Exposure to recruitment sector risks or recruitment insurance markets would be advantageous
*Experience supporting delegated authority or scheme business desirable
*High attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
*Confident building relationships with both clients and insurer partners
*Proactive and solutions-focused approach to client service
