Deputy Head of Finance
Location: Carlisle

About the Role
We are looking for a commercially focused and resilient Deputy Head of Finance to join our fast-paced manufacturing environment at 2 Sisters Food Group.
This is a key leadership role within the finance function, supporting operational and strategic decision-making across site performance. Working closely with both the Head of Finance and Site Director, you will play a critical role in driving financial control, improving performance, and supporting the wider leadership team in a high-pressure FMCG manufacturing environment.
This role would suit an experienced finance professional who understands the realities of large-scale manufacturing - where operational challenges can directly impact weekly P&L performance and where agility, commercial awareness, and strong leadership are essential.
Key Responsibilities
*Support the Head of Finance in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
*Partner with operational teams to drive performance and cost control across the site.
*Assist with strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
*Provide clear financial insight to support operational decision-making.

*Present financial information confidently to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
*Support continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operations.
About You
*Fully qualified accountant with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
*Proven experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
*Strong strategic planning and commercial finance experience.
*Confident presenter with the ability to influence and collaborate across wider business teams.
*Demonstrated people management experience, including delegation and workload prioritisation.
*Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure operational environment.
Why Join Us?
*Work for one of the UK’s largest food manufacturers with a proud legacy - from launching the UK’s first ready meals to driving modern innovation.
*Be part of a team that values integrity, respect, and continuous improvement.
*Work in a collaborative, values-driven environment where your voice matters.
