Job Description:
I’m now exclusively working with a local client of ours in Hemel Hempstead to help them find a Scheduling Team Leader to join their extremely busy and growing team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.
As the team leader, we need to find someone that enjoys being in a fast paced and progressive environment, someone who gets a buzz from problem solving, a can-do person who makes sure today’s stuff is done whilst also planning for tomorrow.
In this role you would be taking on a new role in the team as part of their growth plan across the company and heading up a team of 5 very experienced and stable team members.
However, you’d also be very hands on and also looking after your fair share of end to end scheduling too.
Which means because of the above, it’s essential that we find someone with people management skills and some kind of experience within scheduling, dispatching, logistics or similar.
Anyone who can’t clearly demonstrate this sadly cannot be considered, so do make sure it’s clear in any applications made.
You will be working as part of this major international e-commerce businesses Hemel Hempstead office and it’s an exciting time to join, they are growing and it’s a company you definitely will have heard of, if not used.

The company have just moved into new offices within the Maylands area, lovely new refurbished offices with plenty of parking on site.
We are ideally looking for a temp to perm candidate, but do apply if you can only consider permanent, we wouldn’t rule out the perfect and right candidate based on this.
The salary for the role is £33k, plus bonus, hybrid working, private health care plan, good holiday allowance, volunteer days and much more.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead the scheduling team and function
*End to end scheduling
*SLA performance tracking
*SLA governance, reporting and controls
*Manage ticket lifecycle

*Quality and compliance
*Stakeholder management
*Product readiness checks - oversee auditing of newly added lines to confirm operational standards and readiness
*Team leadership - coaching of team, run 1:1s, support onboarding, maintain SOPs, and manage handovers across shifts
What We’re Looking For:
*Previous experience working within Scheduling, Dispatch, Service Desk or Operations/Logistics.
*Prior experience leading or mentoring a team directly or indirectly is a must have.
*Working knowledge of a ticketing system, in particular triaging and SLA management.
*Ability to plan and schedule across multiple engineers/suppliers.
*Commercial awareness, such as cost to serve, downtime impact, supplier performance etc.
