ALN Teaching Assistant – Swansea & West Wales
£14.25 per hour | 8:30am – 3:30pm | No Weekend Work

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants with an interest or experience in ALN/SEN to work in schools across Swansea and West Wales. While many roles focus on ALN provision, there are also opportunities within mainstream classrooms, offering fantastic variety and experience.


? About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
*Support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) on a 1:1 or small group basis
*Assist in delivering tailored learning activities
*Provide support with behaviour and emotional regulation
*Work closely with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment
*Adapt to both specialist ALN settings and mainstream classrooms


Essential Requirements
*Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above)
*Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
*EWC registration (or willingness to register)
*A patient, adaptable, and supportive approach
*Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in supporting young people


Desirable Skills & Experience
*Experience supporting ALN/SEN such as ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia
*Background in care, support work, coaching, or youth work
*Previous school-based experience (TA or similar)
*Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or psychology
*Aspiring teachers or those considering a PGCE
