Job Description:
Newstaff Employment Services is seeking a skilled and reliable MIG Welder to join our team in Hitchin. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MIG welding and be capable of working to high standards on a variety of metal fabrication projects. Key Responsibilities*Perform MIG welding tasks to fabricate, join, and repair metal components according to specifications.
*Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints accurately.
*Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards.
*Carry out inspections and quality control on completed welds.
*Maintain and operate welding equipment safely and effectively.
*Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines and production targets.
*Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
*Proven experience as a MIG Welder.
*Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
*Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
*Good understanding of welding safety procedures.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Relevant welding certifications or qualifications are advantageous.
*Physical fitness and the ability to handle the demands of the role.
*Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
