Drop Table are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join the team.
We’ve been building a modern Azure envrionments for clients withn the financial services sector, as the programmes continues to scale, we are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join the team and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the platform.
This is a hands-on engineering role within a live, enterprise-scale environment. You will work alongside experienced platform and security engineers to build and refine core Azure capabilities, with a strong emphasis on automation, resilience, and secure-by-design principles.
This is not a greenfield concept piece. The platform is live, in use, and central to how the organisation delivers technology.
Responsibilities*Design and implement robust Azure platform components aligned to enterprise standards
*Enhance CI/CD capabilities to support reliable, repeatable, low-risk deployments
*Embed automation across build, release, and operational workflows
*Contribute to platform governance, standards, and engineering best practices
*Ensure solutions meet expectations for security, resilience, performance, and cost control
*Support the continued modernisation of architecture, tooling, and engineering processes
Technology Environment*Microsoft Azure (including Container Apps, Front Door, API Management)
*Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
*Azure DevOps (pipelines and release engineering)
*PowerShell
Profile*Proven experience as a hands-on Azure / platform / DevOps engineer
*Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture and CI/CD practices
*Experience working within regulated or complex enterprise environments
*Able to deliver high-quality, supportable solutions without unnecessary complexity
*Comfortable contributing to both technical direction and delivery
Desirable:
*Exposure to C#, SQL Server, Databricks, Azure B2C, or Power Platform
Engagement*FTE Permanent role (unfortunately no sponsorship available)
*Hybrid working, with presence in Edinburgh or London
*Role embedded within a strategically important transformation programme
