Warehouse Operative

The Role:
Working in a fast-paced rapidly developing family run distribution business in a multi site warehouse role with plenty of variety both working and talking to customers face to face and to perform a variety of duties such as assemble customer orders checking for accuracy / completeness, picking, packing, Unloading and loading of delivery vehicles and containers. Stock rotation and refilling shelves with products.

Some experience working in a similar warehouse, distribution setting will be helpful.
You should be self-motivating, enthusiastic, willing to learn new skills to develop yourself and the business.
Good levels of IT and numeracy skills are preferred, being confident and able to communicate clearly and positively with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.

*Previous warehouse experience within a distribution environment, picking and packing desirable.
*Forklift Truck Licence
*Driving Licence
*Good communication skills both written and verbal are essential, including the use of a telephone.
*Assist where required or as requested by a manager, able to maintain a clean organised environment by cleaning, sweeping / rubbish removal.

Duties:
- Stock shelves and rotate inventory as needed
- Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing materials
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to operate warehouse machinery
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage
- Perform heavy lifting as required
-Unloading shipping contaniers
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
- Assist in picking and packing orders
- Ability to build pallets for shipping
Van deliverys and moving stock from our storage unit
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a warehouse setting preferred
- Proficient in stock management and materials handling
- Ability to lift heavy objects regularly
- Knowledge of forklift operation is beneficial
- Familiarity with picking, packing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
