Eventus Legal are seeking a Clinical Negligence Lawyer to join a highly regarded Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence team on a permanent, full-time basis in Birmingham, West Midlands.

Role Responsibilities
The Clinical Negligence Lawyer will support the progression of complex claims while working closely with senior members of the team to deliver excellent client service and achieve positive outcomes for clients.
The day-to-day job duties within this role include:
*Assisting with a caseload of clinical negligence and complex injury matters
*Supporting senior lawyers with the progression of claims from initial instruction through to resolution
*Liaising directly with clients, medical professionals and relevant third parties
*Investigating claims, gathering evidence and assisting with liability and quantum assessments
*Drafting legal documents including witness statements, pleadings and schedules of loss
*Preparing and managing court documentation and assisting with settlement negotiations where appropriate
*Maintaining accurate file management, correspondence and diary systems in line with regulatory requirements
*Collaborating with colleagues across the wider team to deliver a high standard of client care
*Keeping up to date with legal developments and contributing to wider departmental objectives
*Using case management systems and technology effectively to support efficient working practices
Person Specification
The successful Clinical Negligence Lawyer will have previous experience within clinical negligence or personal injury litigation and will be keen to further develop their expertise within this area of law.
In addition, you will possess the following experience, skills and attributes:
*Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or experienced fee earner equivalent
*Previous experience handling or assisting with clinical negligence or personal injury matters
*Good understanding of the litigation process and relevant procedures
*Strong communication and client care skills with an empathetic and professional approach
*Organised and able to manage deadlines and competing priorities effectively
*Team-focused with a positive and collaborative attitude
*Good understanding of the Rehabilitation Code and complex injury processes would be advantageous
*Proficient using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
