Key responsibilities include:
*Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
*Supporting pupils’ academic progress and emotional wellbeing
*Preparing pupils for SATs foundations and maintaining high expectations
*Using assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform planning
*Providing support and challenge for all learners, including SEND and higher-attaining pupils
*Working closely with the parallel Year 6 teacher, support staff, and leadership team
*Contributing positively to the wider school community
Candidate Requirements
The school is seeking a teacher who:
*Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Has experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
*Has a secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum
*Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
*Is organised, adaptable, and enthusiastic about teaching
*Brings energy, commitment, and a proactive attitude to the role
*Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with relevant KS2 placement experience are also encouraged to apply.
Salary and Contract Details
*Contract: Full-Time, Maternity Cover
*Duration: 1 Term (Autumn Term)
*Start Date: September 2026
*Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
