About the Role:
*Operate a Class 1 vehicle safely and professionally, complying with all local and national transport regulations.
*Complete scheduled UK wide collection and delivery routes, ensuring punctual, efficient, and reliable service.
*Carry out thorough pre trip, enroute, and post trip vehicle checks, reporting any defects in line with company and legal requirements.
*Secure loads correctly using ratchet straps and safe manual handling techniques to protect goods and ensure safe transit.
*Use a handheld PDA to complete all delivery and collection documentation quickly and accurately.
*Communicate regularly with the transport team, providing progress updates and supporting smooth operational flow.
*Liaise professionally with customers both in person and over the phone to maintain excellent service standards.
*Take part in regular training sessions to stay current with industry standards and continuously develop your skills.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
*Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
*Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
*Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
*Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
*Ability to work to deadlines.
*Confident, polite, and a team player.
*Good geographical knowledge.
*Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
