We are working with a fabulous international academic publishing organisation to recruit a highly experienced Production Editorial professional to work on a range of scientific journals. This newly created position will work on a hybrid/remote basis and will manage the end-to-end production process from manuscript to publication across the journal portfolio. This role will also manage workflows, external stakeholders, vendors and freelancers.
Key responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to:


· Commissioning and briefing freelancers
· Dealing with suppliers
· Checking all material for quality, legal and technical problems
· Copyediting/proofreading material
· Liaising with commissioning editors and authors on the presentation of material
We are looking for an experienced journal production professional with proven experience working in scientific journals, with a strong understanding of production workflows and systems. You will have strong copyediting and proofreading skills, and a keen eye for detail is a must as are sound organisational and communication skills.
