Job Description:
VAN Driver – Swindon
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a VAN Driver to join our well-established client based in Swindon, Wiltshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing work, weekly pay, immediate starts, and long-term opportunities for the right candidate.
This role would suit candidates with previous experience as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Courier Driver, Commercial Driver, or Home Delivery Driver.
Shifts
• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 06:00 – 08:00
• Finish times by approximately 16:00
Rates of Pay
• Monday to Friday – £12.71 per hour
• Saturday – £13.50 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
As a VAN Driver, your duties will include:
• Operating and driving vans safely and efficiently to delivery locations
• Following planned delivery routes to businesses, offices, hospitals, and warehouses
• Collecting and delivering industrial mats for cleaning throughout the Wiltshire area
• Adhering to all road traffic laws and regulations
• Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues to management
• Assisting with loading and unloading where required
• Completing all relevant paperwork and delivery documentation accurately
Essential Skills
To be successful for this role, you will need:
• A valid UK Driving Licence
• Minimum 12 months’ driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
• No major endorsement codes
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and time-keeping skills
• A good understanding of road traffic laws and regulations
• Strong communication skills
Desirable Experience
• Previous commercial driving experience
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training
• Driver assessment must be completed
• Industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support throughout the assignment
