Title: Accountant (3 Month FTC)
Location: London (Hybrid)
Day Rate: £300 – £320 per day
Contract: 3 Month Fixed-Term Contract
Our client is a rapidly growing green energy group with a strong presence across the UK and Europe. Due to increased reporting requirements and ongoing growth, they are seeking a qualified Accountant to join their London-based finance team on an initial 3-month fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
*Assist with the monthly financial reporting and close process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
*Support the preparation of statutory accounts and year-end financial statements
*Assist with the external audit process, liaising with auditors and preparing supporting documentation
*Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls
*Support the preparation of management reports and financial analysis for senior stakeholders
*Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal reporting requirements
*Assist with process improvements across finance operations and reporting procedures
*Support budgeting and forecasting activities where required
*Work closely with the wider finance team to manage ad hoc reporting and project work
*Contribute to maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities
Candidate Requirements
*ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
*Open to candidates from either industry or audit backgrounds
*Previous experience within financial reporting, statutory accounts, or audit support
*Strong understanding of financial controls and reporting processes
*Experience supporting external audits and working with auditors
*Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
*Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
*Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines
*Prior exposure to the energy, renewables, infrastructure, or related sectors would be advantageous but not essential
