Warehouse Manager
Location: Macclesfield
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + Benefits
Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with an established and growing distribution business to recruit an experienced Warehouse Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and hands-on leader to take ownership of a busy warehouse operation and inspire a large team to deliver excellence.
The Role
Leading a team of 40 warehouse operatives, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective running of the warehouse function. You will drive continuous improvement across all areas of the operation while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, manage, and motivate a team of 40 warehouse staff, fostering a positive and high-performance culture
* Oversee all day-to-day warehouse operations including goods in, picking, packing, and despatch
* Monitor and report on key performance indicators, implementing improvements where required
* Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and company policies
* Manage stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and annual stock takes
* Liaise with transport, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operational flow
* Manage staffing levels, rotas, and absence in line with business needs
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximise efficiency and reduce costs
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or Senior Warehouse Team Leader
* Demonstrated ability to lead and develop large teams in a fast-paced environment
* Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)
* Solid understanding of health & safety regulations and best practice
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
* A results-driven mindset with a hands-on approach
* Forklift licence desirable but not essential
