Job Description:
Foundry OperativeSouth Molton | Earlies & Lates | Temporary to Permanent | Onsite
IntroductionAcorn by Synergie is recruiting Foundry Operatives for a well-established and busy manufacturing client in South Molton. This is an excellent opportunity to secure full-time work with a clear path to permanent employment.
Working Pattern*Hours: 6am - 6pm (rotating shifts 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm)
Key Duties*Knock out moulds to remove shells post casting operation.
*Water blast moulds to remove residual shell for band saw operations.
*Cut castings using semi-automatic and manual band saws.
*Trim casting gates and remove surplus shell/metal.
*Dry blast components for a uniform matte finish.
*Remove hot moulds to support casting processes.
*Pack and identify castings for subcontract processes.
*Follow strict health and safety procedures and identify hazards.
*Work safely and collaboratively with team members.
*Assist team members with daily tasks as needed.
Requirements*Proven experience maintaining safe working practices in challenging environments.
*Ability to follow job card routines and set procedures.
*Ability to interpret routing cards to meet specified standards.
*Ability to identify defects and perform quality checks.
