Our client, a well-established Law business based in Peterborough, is looking to recruit a Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join their team on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will manage a broad caseload of commercial disputes, work closely with partners on complex and high-value matters, and play an active role in client development and relationship management. COMMERCIAL LITIGATION SOLICTOR
PETERBOROUGH CAMBS, OFFICE BASED
£50000 - £70000
Monday to Friday 09.00am to 17.30pm
Key responsibilities for the Commercial Litigation Solicitor:
You will be responsible for:
*Managing a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters with appropriate supervision.
*Advising clients on a range of disputes including:
*Breach of contract claims
*Shareholder and partnership disputes
*Professional negligence
*Fraud and asset recovery
*Debt recovery
*Injunctive relief
*Commercial property disputes
*Insolvency-related litigation
*Conducting litigation in the Court.
*Drafting pleadings, applications, witness statements, settlement agreements, and legal correspondence.
*Managing disclosure exercises and trial preparation.
*Instructing and liaising with counsel, experts, and third parties.
*Attending mediations, settlement meetings, and court hearings.
*Providing commercially focused, practical legal advice to clients.
*Maintaining strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for business development.
*Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.
*Ensuring accurate time recording, billing, and file management compliance.
Skills and experience
We’re looking for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor who has the following:
*Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
*Approximately 5 years’ PQE in commercial litigation.
*Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
*Experience managing commercial disputes with a degree of autonomy.
*Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
*Strong commercial awareness and client care skills.
*Ability to manage multiple matters and work to tight deadlines.
*Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
