Finance Manager | Sidcup | Up to £60K
We are working with a private equity–backed group operating across multiple trading entities to appoint a Finance Manager into a newly created role. This is a hands-on, broad finance role with real influence across payroll, group reporting, management accounts, statutory compliance, and margin analysis. The position plays a key role in strengthening financial control, improving consistency across entities, and delivering high-quality insight to support operational and commercial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Group Reporting
*Prepare and submit group reporting packs in line with group and investor requirements
*Support ad-hoc requests from wider group stakeholders
Payroll Management
*Oversee end-to-end payroll processes across multiple entities
*Manage relationships with external payroll providers
*Ensure accurate monthly payroll reconciliations and strong internal controls
*Margin Analysis & Business Performance
*Deliver detailed margin and profitability analysis by job, contract, or business unit
*Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve performance
*Partner with operational teams to drive commercial outcomes
Statutory Reporting & Compliance
*Ensure timely and accurate statutory returns
*Liaise with auditors, tax advisers, and regulatory bodies
*Support year-end and statutory accounts processes
Intercompany Accounting & Control
*Manage intercompany transactions, balances, loans and management fees
*Ensure balances are reconciled and agreed monthly
Process Improvement & Control
*Improve finance processes to increase efficiency and scalability
*Strengthen financial controls and governance frameworks
*Support system improvements and finance transformation initiatives
Candidate Profile
*Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent experience
*Experience in a multi-entity or group environment
*Strong technical grounding across payroll, compliance and intercompany accounting
*Commercially minded with the ability to partner operational teams
*Hands-on, detail-oriented and comfortable in a growth-focused environment
