Job Description:
Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment are delighted to be exclusively supporting a market leading employer in the area. This fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a growing organisation within a fast-paced finance team.
This role is ideally suited to someone with strong Accounts Payable experience, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work accurately in a dynamic environment.
Your new role:
*Setting up supplier accounts within the ERP system
*Receiving, recording, and processing purchase invoices
*Ensuring invoices comply with purchasing policies and are correctly authorised, coded, and matched to purchase orders
*Reviewing GRNI accounts, aged open purchase orders, prepayment accounts, and cash prepayments
*Verifying calculations and accurately inputting financial data into the accounts system
*Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
*Processing employee expenses and company credit card transactions
*Preparing invoices and expense claims for BACS payments
*Liaising with service providers regarding outstanding or unbilled amounts
*Setting up bank payments within banking platforms and ERP systems
*Maintaining accurate filing systems and financial records
*Supporting the finance team with ad hoc administrative and accounting tasks as required
Your skills and experience:
*Minimum of 2 years’ experience within an Accounts or Finance department
*Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
*Experience using ERP systems
*Excellent attention to detail with a logical and methodical approach to work
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
*Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues
*A positive team player with a willingness to learn and support others
*Comfortable working within a flexible and evolving organisation
*Willingness to occasionally support outside standard business hours when required
