Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Summer Term
Secondary School | Fixed-Term Contract
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our supportive and inclusive secondary school for the Summer term. This role involves working with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting a range of additional needs to help them access learning and achieve their potential.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
*Support students with a range of needs, including SEND, SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties
*Work one-to-one and with small groups, both inside and outside the classroom
*Assist teachers in adapting learning materials and activities
*Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
*Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
*Liaise with teachers, SEND staff, and external professionals as required
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
*Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
*Has experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
*Is confident supporting a variety of learning and emotional needs
*Works well as part of a team and uses their initiative
*Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
