Maths Graduate - Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Graduate to join our school as a Learning Support Assistant, supporting students within the classroom environment. This role is ideal for a recent graduate considering a future career in teaching, education, or educational psychology.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to help students access the curriculum, build confidence in mathematics, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities as a maths graduate:
*Supporting students during maths lessons, both one-to-one and in small groups
*Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
*Helping students understand mathematical concepts and complete set work
*Providing additional support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or learning difficulties
*Encouraging student engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour
*Preparing learning materials and supporting differentiated activities
*Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
Requirements:
*A degree in Mathematics (or a closely related subject)
*A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
*Strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly
*Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
*Ability to work effectively as part of a classroom team
*Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
