Job description:
*Conducting routine servicing of lift/escalator equipment, including minor repair work and the routine replacement of components and in accordance with approved company procedures (PPE, PDA, Expert+ etc)
*Rectifying and reducing faults on lift/escalator equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning
*Checking the lift/escalator function as part of maintenance, checks to include, speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature, and power supplies using approved company issued tooling and protective equipment
*Conducting the routine inspection and adjustment of lift/escalator in accordance with approved procedures
*Reinstating lift/escalator and complete service documentation
*Conducting more advanced fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals, and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service.
*Competence is required to make effective use of written or graphical information
*Conducting site surveys and attend all relevant training sessions to keep up to date on technical knowledge and skills
Profile description:
*Experience in Lift/Escalator Servicing/ Maintenance/ Repairs preferred
*Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in Lift/Escalator maintenance or equivalent
*Advanced Electrical and Mechanical knowledge, including multi-brand equipment
*The ability to work independently with a flexible approach
*Effective communication skills at various levels (Client/Service Leader/Inspectors)
*Manual dexterity - Requires the use of hands, arms, and feet for repetitive lifting; use of hands and arms to operate various hand and power tools and to record written information
*Proven fault finding and diagnostic skills
*Good administration skills and punctuality
*Full UK driving license
