Job Description:
Business Systems & Operational Change Manager
*Location: Leicester (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)
*Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + benefits
*Permanent
We’re partnering with a growing organisation undergoing an exciting period of operational transformation and are looking for an experienced Business Systems & Operational Change Manager to help drive continuous improvement across the business.
This is not a heavily technical IT role. Instead, it’s a people-focused operational leadership position suited to someone who enjoys improving how teams work, embedding positive change, and building strong relationships across a business.
You’ll work closely with operational stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, introduce practical changes, support user adoption, and ensure processes are consistently followed and documented. The role combines operational improvement, stakeholder engagement, governance, and team leadership.
This is an opportunity to shape and influence a developing operational excellence function within a business that values collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing:
*Driving operational improvements and embedding effective ways of working
*Leading and supporting business change initiatives across operational teams
*Working closely with stakeholders to improve processes and user experience
*Mapping, documenting, and maintaining operational procedures and controls
*Supporting user training, onboarding, and adoption of business processes/systems
*Coordinating internal audits and ensuring actions are implemented effectively
*Using operational data and insight to identify trends and support decision-making
*Managing and developing a small team (2–3 people)
*Acting as a key relationship builder across multiple business functions
*What we’re looking for
*We’re keen to speak with candidates who come from an operational or business improvement background and have experience driving change in a practical, hands-on environment.
What we’re looking for you to bring:
*Experience leading operational change or continuous improvement initiatives
*Previous people management experience
*Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
*A highly customer and user-focused mindset
*Experience improving processes, governance, or operational controls
*Confidence influencing and challenging constructively where needed
*Strong organisational and documentation skills
*The ability to use data and operational insight to support improvements
*Exposure to process mapping, training, compliance, or audit activity
*Experience with business systems, service improvement, operational governance, or transformation programmes would be beneficial, but this role is far more focused on operational effectiveness and people engagement than deep technical expertise.
Why apply?
*Opportunity to shape a growing operational excellence function
*High-visibility role with real business impact
*Collaborative and people-focused culture
*Hybrid working model
*Strong salary and long-term career opportunity
*Location: Leicester (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)
