Senior Buyer
Location: Doncaster (Hybrid Working Available)
Salary: Up to £40,000
are delighted to be working with a growing and forward-thinking business in Doncaster as they look to recruit an experienced Senior Buyer to join their procurement team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded procurement professional to take ownership of supplier relationships, drive cost-saving initiatives, and play a key role in supporting operational performance within a dynamic business environment.
Key Responsibilities:*Manage end-to-end procurement activities across assigned categories
*Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are achieved
*Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers
*Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
*Monitor supplier performance and resolve any supply chain issues proactively
*Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across operations, production, and finance
*Support strategic sourcing initiatives and procurement projects
*Analyse purchasing data and market trends to support decision-making
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:*Previous experience in a Senior Buyer or Buyer role within manufacturing, engineering, or a fast-paced commercial environment
*Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
*Experience managing procurement projects and driving efficiencies
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
*Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel
*CIPS qualification or working towards this would be advantageous
