Job Description:
The Community Engagement Manager leads day-to-day community engagement, events and programmes, ensuring members receive a high-quality, inclusive and supportive experience. The role combines team and volunteer management, event delivery, and membership onboarding and retention, using insight and feedback to continuously improve community services.

Description
*Lead the planning and delivery of a varied programme of in-person and community events, ensuring high quality experiences from conception to post-event follow-up.
*Act as the primary point of contact for members and prospective members, handling enquiries related to membership, events and services with professionalism and empathy.
*Design and oversee a welcoming member onboarding journey, introducing new members to events, programmes and community life to support retention and engagement.
*Use membership data, CRM insights and feedback to shape event programming, improve attendance and inform future planning.
*Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure events are well-promoted, inclusive and aligned with member interests.
*Recruit, train and manage volunteers to support events and community activities, ensuring clear roles and a positive experience.
*Line-manage and coordinate administrative support to ensure smooth event operations and consistent member service standards.
*Monitor engagement, attendance and retention, producing reports and recommendations to support membership growth and continuous improvement.
Profile
*Proven experience delivering membership-focused events and programmes end to end.
*Strong background in membership services, onboarding and retention.
*Confident managing volunteers and small teams to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.
*Excellent stakeholder and relationship-building skills, with a community-first mindset.
*Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
*Data-driven, comfortable using CRM insights and feedback to shape engagement strategies.
