Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA)

Hamilton Woods Associates are currently working on behalf of a not-for-profit organisation, who are recruiting for an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate to work with individuals and families affected by domestic violence.
This role is a community based project that will require travel across Kirklees.
Responsibilities of the Independent Domestic Violence Advocate:
*Building strong relationships with individuals and families affected by domestic violence
*Advocating for survivors
*Reviewing support plans
*Signposting clients to other services
*Managing high risk cases
*Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection
*Providing support around housing, criminal justice, health and finances
*Working in partnership and collaborating with partners and stakeholders
*Actively engaging clients and promote involvement in the service
Essential Criteria of the Independent Domestic Violence Advocate:
*UK Driving License and access to own vehicle
*Enhanced DBS
*Experience working with those fleeing domestic abuse
