Job Description:
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading machine tool and advanced manufacturing business seeking an experienced Service Engineer to support the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of high-performance 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centres across the UK and, where required, internationally.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable engineer with strong CNC knowledge to join a growing organisation working with cutting-edge machining technology across aerospace, automotive, medical, precision engineering, and manufacturing environments.
The Role
*Install, commission, and service 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centres at customer sites
*Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown support on CNC machine tools
*Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software faults efficiently
*Support machine alignments, calibrations, spindle checks, and geometric accuracy testing
*Provide technical support and training to customers when required
*Complete detailed service reports and documentation following each visit
*Work closely with internal technical support and engineering teams
*Support machine upgrades, retrofits, and automation integration projects
*Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards and customer expectations
*Travel throughout the UK and internationally as required
The Ideal Candidate
*Previous experience working as a CNC Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or similar
*Strong understanding of CNC machining centres, particularly 3-axis and 5-axis machines
*Ability to fault-find across electrical and mechanical systems
*Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
*Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
*Full UK driving licence
*Passport and willingness to travel internationally
