Job Description:
Futures are working with a leading manufacturing business to appoint an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join a high-performing projects function.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the full contract lifecycle across major projects, supplier agreements, and customer-facing commercial arrangements. Given the nature of the work, candidates with a strong background supporting large-scale projects and engineering programmes would bode well.
The role will involve close collaboration with project management, procurement, legal, operations, finance, and external stakeholders to ensure contractual compliance while protecting the commercial interests of the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Leading the negotiation, drafting, review, and management of complex commercial contracts
*Supporting major manufacturing and engineering projects from bid stage through to delivery and close-out
*Identifying, assessing, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
*Advising project teams on contractual obligations, entitlements, variations, and dispute avoidance
*Managing customer and supplier contractual relationships across multiple workstreams
*Supporting tendering, pricing, and commercial evaluation processes
*Driving contract governance, compliance, and best practice across the business
*Leading negotiations relating to claims, variations, extensions of time, and change control
*Working closely with legal teams to ensure alignment with corporate and regulatory requirements
*Mentoring and supporting junior commercial or contracts professionals where required
*Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the commercial function
