Job Description:
Goods-In Operative | Elland 6-Month
Fixed-Term 6-12 month contract
35 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday
We are looking for a Goods-In Operative on behalf of a well-established business within the chemical industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive operations team where attention to detail, organisation, and quality really matter.
This Goods-In Operative role would suit someone who enjoys structured processes, takes pride in accuracy, and works well in a busy environment where deadlines and safety standards are important.

The Role
As Goods-In Operative, you will play an important part in ensuring goods and materials are received, checked, recorded, and handled correctly in line with client requirements and industry standards.
Duties will include:
*Receiving and inspecting incoming goods against purchase orders and specifications
*Checking labels, quantities, and quality standards
*Reporting discrepancies, damages, or missing items
*Recording goods accurately on internal systems
*Supporting the safe handling and storage of materials, including hazardous goods
*Liaising with suppliers or clients to resolve delivery issues
*Assisting with preparing materials for shipment
*Supporting the wider operations team with day-to-day warehouse activities
What We’re Looking For
*Good levels of Maths and English
*Strong attention to detail
*Organised and able to prioritise workloads effectively
*Comfortable using computer systems
*Experience working in a fast-paced or pressurised environment
*Manual handling experience
*A proactive and reliable approach to work
Previous experience within a goods-in, warehouse, manufacturing, or chemical industry environment would be beneficial, although not essential.
