Are you an aspiring primary teacher looking to gain invaluable classroom experience before starting your PGCE or teacher training?
I am working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Newham seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September for the full academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate considering a future career in teaching who wants to build hands-on experience supporting pupils across the primary age range within a supportive school environment.
The Role
Supporting pupils in class across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
Working closely with class teachers to deliver engaging lessons
Providing 1:1 and small group interventions
Assisting with classroom preparation and behaviour management
Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Ideal Candidate
A graduate with a strong academic background
Passionate about education and working with children
Aspiring teacher looking to gain school-based experience ahead of a PGCE or teacher training
Previous child-related experience is essential - this can be paid or voluntary
Confident, proactive and eager to learn
