We are seeking a dedicated Transport Supervisor to join our team in the Transport Logistics sector. This role is ideal for someone with at least a year’s experience in a similar position, looking to advance their career in transport management.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Oversee the daily operations of 13 vehicles, ensuring efficient and effective management.
*Monitor and manage the scheduling and routing of vehicles to optimise service delivery and minimise costs.
*Ensure compliance with transport policies, legislation, and procedures.
*Supervise, train, and support team members, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
*Conduct regular vehicle checks and coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure all vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
*Handle any logistical issues that arise, implementing quick and effective solutions.
*Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, incidents, and maintenance for reporting purposes.
*Communicate effectively with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a transport supervisory role.
*Strong organisational and leadership skills.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
*Knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements.
*Proficient in using transport management systems.
