Deputy Team Manager – Safeguarding (Children’s Social Care)
Liverpool
£40 per hour (Ltd)
3-month contract (immediate start)
3 days per week in office | Free parking available
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Deputy Team Manager – Safeguarding to provide interim cover within a busy Children’s Social Care team.
This is a non-case holding role, ideal for a confident leader with strong safeguarding expertise who can support the Team Manager in driving high-quality practice and effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
*Support the Team Manager in the day-to-day running of a busy safeguarding team
*Provide supervision, guidance, and oversight to a team of approximately 10 social workers of varying experience and qualifications
*Lead on risk management and decision-making within Child Protection
*Drive improved practice standards, performance, and outcomes for children and young people
*Contribute to service development and continuous improvement
About You
*Experienced Deputy Team Manager (or equivalent) with a proven track record of supervising and managing social workers
*Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience within Children’s Safeguarding, particularly Child Protection and risk management
*Confident decision-maker who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment
*Strong understanding of relevant children’s legislation, statutory guidance, policies, and frameworks
*Ideally a qualified Practice Educator
