Accounts Assistant - 6 Month FTC

Full-Time
We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a busy and fast-paced finance team in Norwich on a 6-month full-time contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration and finance experience who enjoys working in a varied role within a supportive team environment.
The Role
The position will primarily focus on Purchase Ledger invoice processing, alongside a range of wider finance and administrative responsibilities.
Key duties will include:
*Processing supplier invoices onto the ERP system
*Supporting with supplier invoice queries and disputes
*Raising and issuing sales invoices
*Assisting with credit control activities
*Monitoring and managing the accounts inbox
*Posting daily bank transactions and carrying out reconciliations
*Updating spreadsheets, schedules, and reports
*Supporting the wider finance function with ad-hoc administrative tasks
About You
The successful candidate will be:
*Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
*Methodical and accurate in their approach to work
*Able to work effectively under pressure during busy periods
*A strong communicator, both written and verbal
*Positive, adaptable, and reliable
*Comfortable building relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues
*A proactive team player with a willingness to learn
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role, you should have:
*Previous experience within a finance or accounts administration role
*Experience with purchase ledger and/or credit control (preferred)
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
*Strong numeracy and literacy skills
*The ability to analyse and work confidently with financial data
Additional Information
*Full-time hours
*Working hours can be either:
*8:00am - 5:00pm, or
*9:00am - 6:00pm
*Own transport is required due to office location
