Full job descriptionTeaching Assistant - Hackney Secondary
Location: Hackney, East London
Job Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Pay: £95-£110 per day (based on experience)
A friendly and inclusive secondary school in Hackney is on the lookout for a Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a student with special educational needs. This is an ideal role for someone interested in pursuing a career in SEN, educational psychology, or therapy.
You’ll play a key part in helping a young person access learning, regulate emotions and build essential life skills.
Your Role:
*Work closely with a student who has an EHCP
*Implement SEN strategies and support learning
*Provide help with social, emotional and communication needs
*Track progress and adapt approaches with guidance from the SENCO
You’ll Need:
*A degree and an interest in SEN or youth support
*Patience, empathy and resilience
*Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn
*Some experience with young people is an advantage
We Offer:
*CPD and free training via our National College partnership
*Real-world SEN support experience
*Friendly school culture and on-site mentoring
*Daily pay depending on experience
