Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Are you looking to begin a rewarding role in education as soon as possible or from September 2026?
Would you like to gain hands-on classroom experience with the opportunity to secure a long-term or permanent school-based position?
We are currently working in partnership with a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Northampton who are seeking confident, reliable, and adaptable Cover Supervisors to join their teams either immediately or from September 2026.
Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with long-term placements offering excellent potential to progress into permanent roles for the right candidates.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning by supervising pre-prepared lessons during teacher absence. You will ensure students remain engaged, focused, and on task, helping to maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Supervising pre-set lessons across KS3 and KS4
*Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
*Delivering clear instructions and ensuring students stay on task
*Supporting students where appropriate with their learning activities
*Providing feedback to teaching staff on student engagement and behaviour
The Ideal Candidate Will:
*Have experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
*Be confident managing groups of students in a classroom setting
*Be professional, adaptable, and reliable
*Be open to both full-time and part-time opportunities
*Show a genuine interest in education and supporting young people
*Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
