Full job descriptionSEMH Support Worker – Full Time | SEN Schools | September 2026 Start
We are seeking resilient and dedicated SEMH Support Workers to join SEN schools from September 2026 on a full-time basis.
This role involves supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including pupils who may display challenging behaviour. You will play a key role in helping students feel supported, engaged, and safe within the school environment.
The Role:*Supporting students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
*Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour positively
*Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
*Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams
*Encouraging emotional regulation, engagement, and personal development
Requirements:*Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals preferred
*Calm, patient, and resilient approach
*Strong behaviour management and communication skills
*Passion for supporting students who need additional guidance

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
