Full job descriptionPosition: Behaviour Support Assistant – Everton
A welcoming school in Everton is looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is a temporary position initially, with the potential to become permanent.
Role Summary:
You will support pupils experiencing behavioural and emotional challenges, helping them reintegrate smoothly into school life. The role involves working with individuals and small groups, liaising closely with class teachers, the SENCo, and parents to implement personalised strategies.
About the School:
The school promotes a positive behaviour culture and uses a range of effective strategies to support pupils. With strong funding for Special Educational Needs and the Pupil Premium, they are able to provide targeted interventions that lead to excellent pupil progress.
About the Head Teacher:
Under highly respected leadership, the school maintains a warm, positive environment from Early Years through to Year 6. Staff benefit from ongoing support and professional development to stay skilled and confident in their practice.
Requirements:
*Strong behaviour management experience, including positive behaviour strategies.
*Experience within either KS1 or KS2 in a Primary Setting.
*Experience with SEN would be beneficial within this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
